5 Myths about about Herpesvirus

I’ve never had an STD but know personally people who do. I found in this article at Your Tango that 1 out of every 6 person has this disease. I didn’t realize it was so common. Realizing you don’t have to have sex to get it was surprising.

Myth 2: We didn’t have sex, so there’s no way I have genital herpes.
Herpes is spread by skin-to-skin contact with someone who carries the virus. That means you can get herpes by touching, kissing and oral, vaginal or anal sex. People who carry herpes don’t always know they have the virus, and they may not have any visible sores on their skin.

That said, your risk of getting the virus is higher if you’ve had contact with a partner who does have a visible sore. Using condoms can majorly decrease the risk of spreading the virus, but doesn’t eliminate it completely. Unfortunately, no other type of birth control reduces the risk of this STI.

How common is genital herpes?
According to CDC Genital herpes infection is common in the United States. Nationwide, 16.2%, or about one out of six, people aged 14 to 49 years have genital HSV-2 infection. Over the past decade, the percentage of persons with genital herpes infection in the United States has remained stable.

I never dated in high school because I didn’t like the way boys treated girls. They would kiss and run, hide their hands behind the back when a baby was created and worse of all deny you as a lover. The male adults around me gave their wives and partners STDs, got themselves cared for but never say a word to the partners. A friend or family had to clue them in. I quietly observed my world and didn’t like what I saw and didn’t want any part of it.

Chris Brown crash his car chased by paparazzi

Brown’s rep confirmed that the star was involved in an accident which totaled the black Porsche he was driving.

Chris Brown told also police he was being chased by celebrity photographers, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and hit a wall in an alley near the 600 block of Bedford Drive, according to a statement released by the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Why attack celebrities with cameras. I don’t think Chris Brown run from all pictures, but for paparazzi to aggressively charge after a person would make any one run away from them. Causing a persons of fame to crash their car makes no sense. They sounds like paparazzi’s from Great British chasing Princess Diana.

Essence.com has more to say about how Brown feels about being targeted by celebrity photography.
