What is Glaucoma?
Glaucoma is a complicated disease in which damage to the optic nerve leads to progressive, irreversible vision loss. Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness.

I have Glaucoma and live aware every day I can go permanently blind. I’ve lost 95% of my field vision in the right. But my left eye is holding rather good.

It’s the multiple sclerosis that keeping me from seeing these days. It’s the blurred, foggy, whiteness that making my life a living nightmare.

This challenge is the reason I’m graduating Friday May 10 2013 with two degrees in computer technology. I hope to go back when my eyes are better for the applied associate (4 classes due).

Until then I fall short of my goal. My eye sight and MS is hindering my eyes from functioning properly. I do forget often to put my lumigan drops in and run out. I still make sure I have my drops on hand. If not I call doctor.

My glaucoma was caught early and my sight was saved though I lost 95% field vision in my right eye since then. I can see out of the eye though it is dim like a dimmer switch that’s been turned down a few notch.

So get your screening so you can hold on to your precious sight. Once it’s gone it’s gone and you won’t get it back bc there is no cure for glaucoma or surgery that will fix and bring it back.
