Yahoo Teams Up With Facebook

Yahoo use to be the best search engine out until Google dethroned them. Yahoo has lagged for years in Google shadow even before becoming search engine king. I switched from Yahoo because I like how Google got you where you wanted quicker while many around me continued to say Yahoo better than google. I suppose what I search for was different from what they looked for.

I still use Yahoo homepage. I’m looking forward to seeing its new Facebook features.

* Will import data on Facebook users, such as shared content

* Changes to be rolled out over coming days

* Can this makeover can win back Web audience?

Feb 20 (Reuter) – Yahoo Inc is overhauling its website to incorporate features familiar to Facebook users such as a newsfeed and people’s “likes,” in CEO Marissa Mayer’s biggest product revamp since taking the helm of the ailing company last year.

In 2012 Facebook had a crashing down of stocks by investors. I never saw Facebook as B2B type business. Facebook is a different kind of money. It is not your typical Fortune 500 company. Its is more so a neighborhood of people from all across the working it in a unique way that will make their dream a reality. Businesses and investors must change their way of making a fortune of a billion dollar social networking company like Facebook. No other social network has able to accomplished what Facebook has. When I left MySpace to come to Facebook I invited everybody I knew because it was different. It took two years for my kids to come on board by that time I was doing and learning great things on Facebook, things I could not do on MySpace and the others sites like HoverSpot etc.

Sex Offenders Have Right To FaceBook

“An appeals court in Chicago has ruled that Indiana’s ban on sex offenders using social media is unjust and potentially in breach of the First Amendment.” Now that we will be sharing social media like facebook with sex offender I figure there will be restriction put on them. I think if sex offender are registered on facebook as a sex offender just like they are in our towns, I reckon we will know who they are on facebook and choose not to befriend or like their pages.

I like the ease of using my facebook page and don’t want to jump through hoops like I did on Myspace. So, if there is a “Sex Offender Facebook” register then any can check to see who they are just like you do in your home town. Those who are not registered and found out to be so should not have access to a page. They have right to social media and we have right to know who they are.

I think implementations on social media like facebook to protect the innocent from the devious should be priority over the rights of those who chose to harm the unsuspecting.
