The principles at work are similar to those found in a 3D mouse, but Microsoft’s paperwork for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office did not include any examples of specific uses for the 3D data input stylus.
Read more about Microsoft new gadget. I don’t see a need for it, but never know what I’ll be doing in the future as I vision Microsoft replacing the 3D mouse with the 3D Electromagnetic stylus. I see PC computers such as laptops and desktops, if still around becoming touch screen so, the mouse may become lost technology.
I think as tablet become more popular paper and pencil in schools and colleges maybe replaced with tablets and styluses.
